Description: We are holding a Safe Plates for Food Handlers Training in Union County at our Agricultural Center. This short course is designed for food employees who need basic food safety training and is built on Conference for Food Protection standards for food handlers. This program includes instruction on personal hygiene and employee health; eliminating cross-contamination; handling allergens; cleaning and sanitizing and correct temperatures for storing, preparing and holding foods.

This program would be ideal for anyone working in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes and other food establishments. This course is also appropriate for volunteer and temporary food handlers, such as those working at soup kitchens or fundraising events.

Note: This course does not prepare for examination in Food Protection Safety Manager certification as approved by ANSI. For Food Safety certification, you will need to take the Safe Plates for Food Managers training.


Date of Training: October 11th, 2019
Time: 9AM - 1:30 PM

Cost: $5 (Includes handouts)

Payment Information: Send payment and registration form by mail or to our county center. Payment must be received before the day of training, October 11th, 2019.
