This course helps to meet the requirement in North Carolina of having at least one certified food protection manager in a food establishment, per the 2017 FDA Food Code. This interactive course is filled with hands-on activities and case studies to help understand best safety practices when it comes to topics such as personal hygiene, preventing cross-contamination of foods, and handling allergens. Once the course is completed participants will take an ANSI-approved exam for Food Protection Manager Certification which is accepted throughout the United States for up to five years

Class: December 6th - 8th 2022, 9 AM - 1:30 PM (includes breaks)

Exam Day: December 9th, 2022, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Registration Fee & Payment Information: $150 (includes books, handouts, and test) - Payment due by the first day of class. Cash, Check, or Card* accepted. Please deliver cash or checks to the county center. Checks are written out to: Union County Cooperative Extension.
